This is the shuttle bay and is used as an exit for EVA missions.
In one of my graphic stories, the crew encounter a large asteroid heading towards their home world and head out on a mission to sort it.
The main structure was wood and as I wanted it very cluttered and dirty, I just covered it in heaps of electronic parts and plastic shapes.
It was always intended to be dark in the shot so most of the detailing becomes dark shapes in the shadows and so could be basic and crude as we don’t see finer details.
This is the outside showing the doors opening. Again, all wood with kit part dressings. As with all this stuff for my books, my budget was limited so a set like this had to be simple and still look complicated.
